Pilates Teacher Mentoring
I believe that Pilates can be a wonderful tool in helping our clients feel embodied, strong and confident in their movement. Especially when we learn to think critically about how each individual client in front of us is experiencing this movement.
I want to help you see your clients with increased clarity. This means being able to discern if the movement is benefitting them, if it's the right level for them to be working at, and if they are engaged in an embodied way rather than simply “going through the motions" or "following the rules."
Seeing your clients with clarity means seeing the movement from their point of view, and tailoring the options you give them to their needs and priorities, rather than your desires as a teacher. While it is absolutely our job as teachers to hold the potential for healing and growth for our clients, it is not our job to project our expectations onto our clients. It is the client's job to hold their own priorities for their own bodies.
Embodiment is about educated choice. It's about knowing oneself, one's challenge points and one's boundaries and exploring movement that feels good and empowering.
Giving your clients anatomically correct cues enables a much deeper connection to the movement, and allows you as a teacher to feel more confident in the cues you are giving. Come learn the anatomical ins and outs of the exercises you teach!
I'm so excited to help you evolve as a teacher!
Join us for inspiration and exploration in community with other Pilates teachers!
Are you feeling stagnant in your teaching practice? Are you frustrated that your clients aren’t making more progress? Do you teach on your own and want to connect with other teachers? Do you have questions about anatomy or teaching specific exercises?
